Games for Toddlers.

Learning Through Play (part 1)
If you see your child playing it means he is learning problem solving skills at his own level. The cognitive games that require the child to focus and think. These sorts of games also help us to see his aptitude to figure out things. These games are an important part of a kid’s ability as well as his expanding his understanding and give him the skill of thinking in the right way. Such play helps a child in developing hand and eye coordination and invention of new things. In short, he learns through play from planning, invention, novelty, and to construct. It’s a parent’s job to provide him an environment and facilitation to grow.
Here are some ideas to keep your toddler busy and to learn through playing.
Building Games
In these games you can use blocks of different shapes and colors, but they should not be so small that can cause choking. More likely you can arrange for wooden block and other wooden toys to prevent exposure to synthetic materials in a very tender age.  Start with building simple walls with him, then move towards simple construction.
Shape and sorting games
There are also boards and boxes make of wood or plastic that have openings of different shapes the child have to put the right shape in the right opening, or you can make them at home with an old shoe box and cardboard.
Color sorting games
Take blocks or different toys of three or four colors and three baskets of these colors (you can label them with those colors i.e., red, green, yellow and blue) ask your child to sort toys in those baskets.
Hear and tell
Play sounds of different appliances, vehicles, birds and animals and ask your child recognize that sound. It will add a lot of fun and learning.
Who is it?
You can imitate a person (i.e., sweeper, mail man or doctor) in front of him and ask him to recognize, who is that? It will be fun for both of you and an early introduction to community helpers.
Such games have no cast and more fun and it develops parent-child connection.  Don’t forget to give hugs and kiss to reward on the accomplishment of your child.
I will come up with more ideas for you stay tuned
